I'm guessing by "Volvo" this means "safe"? Then, yes. I think middle class Americans live VERY safe lives... especially when it comes to sharing about our salvation. My sister is taking a class called "Perspectives"... thinking about (and hopefully moving people towards DOING something) about bringing Jesus' life and hope to everyone in the world... Anyway, I will try to make this short. The speaker for the week was talking about Mormon families, and how they would be so disappointed in their children if they did not go on a mission. The speaker compared Mormon families to non-Mormon famies who believe in Christ. We (and I'm speaking for Klint & me only)would be scared if Jack, Lilibeth or West wanted to go on a two year mission after school. We would also think: you need to get a job and start on retirement and get insurance and blah, blah, blah... everything that we have been taught are "important" in our culture. It is NOT important compared to sharing the gospel with people who haven't heard. We do live "safe" lives.
It is too late and has been a long week... I'm babbling so I'm going to call it a night and come back to this tomorrow :)
